Credit cards – many flavors
There is a right credit card out there for every person. Which credit card is right for you depends on several factors including:
* Age
* Credit Card Score
* Spending habits
* Payment structures
* Special interests
* Number of current credit cards
* Income
Credit cards are also issued by many financial institutions and companies. Your options are not just limited to Chase and Bank of America. Specialty financial organizations such as American Express, Discover, and others exist as well. This means that card companies will try to compete with each other for your business, and you win.
Which Credit Card is Right for Me?
Before applying for a credit card ask yourself some questions:
* Why do you want a credit card? – Maybe you want one card for it's introductory 0% interst offer, or perhaps you're looking for a business card. Perhaps you're looking for cashback, or frequent flyer miles.
* How much do you need to charge on your card? – If you're looking to spend a lot, a card with a high credit limit would be your first area of concern. If this is your first credit card then a high credit limit is probably not much of a concern for you.
* How do I want to pay the credit card bills? – Are you the type that pays your balance in full every month, or do you carry a balance on your card from month to month. If you carry a balance you should be looking at low interest credit cards.
* Do special offers interest me? – Many cards offer special rewards to those with good credit. For example you can get cash back, travel rewards, gas rebates, introductory 0% APR. Look at the reward credit cards, and see if you'd be interested in any of them.
