With Airline Credit Cards, you can earn great rewards on airline tickets, hotel stays, and other travel related purchases. There are three categories of airline credit cards:
1) Airline Mile Cards are cards that you can use with pretty much any major airline. These cards also allow you to redeem your earnings towards free hotel stays, car rentals, cash back bonuses, and more.
2) Frequent Flyer Cards let you earn miles towards your favorite airline, but doesn't earn you miles with other airlines.
3) Travel Reward Cards let you earn points towards free hotel stays, and other travel related purchases which may include airline tickets.
With airline cards, you'll need to earn at least 24,000 points in order to redeem your points for a free roundtrip ticket. Most airline cards will give you a substantial amount of bonus points when you first get your card. This can often be about half the amount of points you need to redeem it for a free airline ticket.
